Desert Protectors is an organization based in Ajo, Arizona that works toward the protection of the natural resources of local and regional desert areas and toward the protection of natural resources everywhere. This generation must protect what we were given and pass it on to future generations in the best condition we can. Generally speaking the best way to protect resources is to leave them alone, however, man and government refuse to understand that so, we work to keep the inevitable changes as easy on the resource as possible.

Our first challenge was to keep ATVs off Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge. Our second, to protect from Wilderness invasion and development as planned by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service at that same Refuge. Other topics await as do results.
